Fair Trade for Thai Handicrafts
In 1994, Grassroots Co.,Ltd was set up as a fair trade company to help Thai villagers
on the grassroots level in Chiangmai province market their handicrafts within Thailand
and overseas.
Grassroots Group One Stop Cultural Event Organizer
In 2006, Grassroots changed the name of the company to Grassroots Group Co., Ltd
and widened the scope of the company to become a One Stop Cultural Event Organizer
Services.
Grassroots Group with its wide range of entertainment and performing arts services is
able to provide support to media, advertising, production, event organizer agencies in
a wide range of functions both within Thailand and overseas.
Head Office in Chiangmai
The company’s head office is in Chiangmai, Thailand where it employs 8 permanent
staff as well as 100 part-time dancer, models and event support personnel.
The company has a branch-office in the UK where it also maintains a warehouse for
equipment and costume

• Viang Kaew : The Golden Age of Lanna
In 2000, Grassroots set up Viang Kaew Performing Arts,
a project to preserve and keep alive the local Lanna culture of Northern Thailand. Viangkaew is composed of a team of traditional folk dancers and musicians. |

• Chiangmai Modeling : Modern Fashion & Glamour
In 2004, Grassroots opening a modeling agency, Chiangmai Modeling, a modern dance group, Dance Fusion, and a casting agency, Chiangmai Casting. |

• Southern Breeze : Charity Mission
In 2005, Grassroots supported a team of volunteer cultural artists, Southern Breeze, to tour Europe in order to help Southern Thailand recover from the Asian Tsunami crisis (Dec 2004) |
